Looking for simple DIY projects to add a personal touch to your wedding celebration? Then this blog is for you! Each week we’ll bring you a new (simple!) craft to enhance your big day.
We’re starting things off with these lovely cupcake liner carnations. Perfect for centrepieces, boutonnieres, cake toppers or wall décor (string them up!), you can also use these homemade blooms to decorate your favours. Add a little ribbon and a tag, and you have an adorable gift for your guests. Paper flowers do not get easier than these pretty petals!

SHOPPING LIST
- Cupcakes liners
- Twine or ribbon
- Straight Pins
- Scissors

Each flower requires eight cupcake liners, flipped inside out and flattened.

Stack the flattened cupcake liners and, depending on the thickness of your ribbon or twine, pierce two holes through with a straight pin or scissors.

We used small craft scissors for our twine-based carnations.

Weave the twine through the two holes, making sure the ends of the twine are at the back of the flower. Tie a small knot.

Start to fold/crinkle the liners into the centre, one at a time…

…until they are all folded in. And you’re done!
